Hi,

Im a owner of an iPad Pro 2nd Gen (2017) 256GB Wifi + Cellular. I bought LumaFusion so that i could edit my Dji Mavic 2 Pro footage which i shot on D-Log M 10Bit profile. Now every things works fine, i can transfer the footage from my SD card to the iPad and start editing with LumaFusion. But i struggle with that when i add transitions in to my project of my Dji M2Pro footage in LumaFusion i get stuttering on “only” the transition parts in the preview window. So only on the transition parts of my M2Pro footage.

I already had changed the Preview option to Fastest (even triend balanced) in advanced settings, but that didnt help. The weird thing is, if i export the whole footage in LumaFusion and i watch it back on my iPad o dont have these stuttering issues?

So my question, cant LumaFusion handle the M2Pro footage which i shoot in 10bit D-log M ??

Here a example video of my issue:

Try ‘Optimise and Consolidate’ your project from the project menu

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your reply, tried that it helped a little. As now with the “dip” transitions i dont have any stutter. But with the rest there is still a small amount of stutter/lag.

Here another example after “optimise and consilidate”

What fps did you shoot it at? and what fps do you have your project set to?

Are you on version 2.2.1?

Do you see the stutter on the rendered project?

The original footage FPS is on 29.97, the project is also set to 29.97 Fps

im on the latest LumaFusion version that is available on the App Store.

Like i said in my start post, if i export/render the project i dont see the stutter/lag so its only during editing in LumaFusion.

Sorry, I'd re-read the posts but missed it

I've got it in my head that the 10 bit DJI footage may not be 100% compatible (for some reason)

... I will ask the developers

Here's the reply (so far):

Dave, I tested here with 3 (short clips) all 4K UHD, 10bit and 150mbps., I put transitions between them They all played just fine even at best quality. I know that if the mbps goes much past 150 you will run into issues like what is shown in the youtube video.

Hmm ok, well its weird that its happening with my Mavic 2 Pro footage :s as for what i know the Mavic 2 Pro shoots in 4K H.265 (D-log profile) with 10bit and on 100mbps. So its not even 150mbps, really weird why its doing this :s

i also tested it on a iPad Mini 5th Gen 64GB with same result. İ will try to shoot some new test footage with my Mavic 2 Pro and see if its happening on the new footage also.

I know this is a pretty obvious statement ..

.. nothing else running/open in the background?

no iOS beta's?
